Auto save is not working in N14/W11. Have checked and changed preferences still not working. This cost me a lot of time earlier today as this has not happened before.
Anybody got any ideas what to do?

In the place that they usually go with the current Nuendo edit. I didn’t know they could go elsewhere! Is this indeed the case? Better take a look!

If you mean where the Nuendo project file is saved, AFAIK they are not found there. Instead, they should be found in a sub-menu called ‘Auto Saves’.
Many thanks Stingray. I just don’t know how I missed this transition. I had a big crash today and lost work which is when I saw there were no bak files. Up until today, for me, the BAK files were always alongside the associated Nuendo project file. This autosaves folder, incredibly, is a new thing for me!! I checked older projects from last year and there was no auto save folder!! Ah well, upwards and onwards.

This has happened to me a few times. Its like a part of the system has background crashed = the autosave is not autosaving and then later the system may crash - resulting in lost work. It silently fails
The Auto Save function is not thoroughly documented so there is room for misunderstandings. Here’s a little documentation aiming at filling those blanks:
