Hi @JeffB63 ! you still generate the sine-wave on Global STACK’s insert, right?
Ive tried it in a global stack and on an output. No difference unfortunately.
…okay, tried with that SINE GEN, yes, can hear a little pop can occur at song change (probably that triggers the failover)
It’s not expected to be perfect yet.
This is part of a restructuring which we approach very carefully. For now, we are happy that there are no obvious problems so far, and that the show host can continue to speak while Songs are beeing changed. Please don’t forget that a Song in VST Live is to be compared to an entire Cubase project, and activating the latter is quite a task.
So failover is not what we expect to work out of the box, but happy to see it works in general. The restructuring also covers reconnecting crazy routings like connecting Global Stacks to a Song Group, should work with the next version.
Dont get me wrong. I’m very grateful for your efforts.
Just reporting my experience.
Thanks.
That is a MASSIVE improovement both for continous work of global channel and for the workflow with more sends !! Thank you for your job devs!!!
Ciao!!
OK. Got to the bottom of this.User error is confirmed.
I had Halion Sonic and Omnisphere in global layers to save on resources so, of course, every time I changed songs a program change would select the appropriate multi and take a few mS to load it.
Obvious really but I had a proper senior moment!
Now have everything setup as separate instances and it works like a charm,
Sorry for any confusion I caused and thanks to the devs and everyone else that helped.
Any updates regarding this topic? I also plan to invest into a Playaudio1U and two MacMini.
Working fine here now.
