Automatic history deletion in Cubase 15.0.20

In version 15.0.20, when you delete unused audio files (empty trash), the entire session history is automatically deleted. Is it possible to disable such deletion?

Hi,
was it any different in previous versions? To me this behaviour seems to follow a clear logic: If there’s nothing to revert back to - why keep the history?

EDIT: Here’s another thread, it seems they have changed it indeed. However, there’s also a workaround if you follow the thread

Yes, it’s never been like this. I’m deleting audio files the entire time I’m working. I don’t want my undo history being erased!

I’ve never noticed because I always keep my audiofiles till the finish line. I’m fine either way.

Every workflow is different :+1:

Hi,

this is a major problem for me.

Why should deleting files and undo history be connected anyway?

same here, iĀ“m very annoyed by this new ā€œfeatureā€, i empty my pool all the time during recording sessions, but i dont want to undo the history!

Yes. It’s not necessary. It’s inconvenient. And nothing was said about this in the comments to the release.

ā€œthis is a major problem for meā€

For me too. For all of us. A completely unnecessary added ā€œfeatureā€. As if the entire maintenance history of your car gets erased when you get new brakes. Huh???
