Hi there. When installing an update to a new cubase version - do user presets and keycommands follow automatically? Or am I supposed to manually back them up and copy to the folders of the new version??..
I’ve went from v10.5 to 13 to 15.
Even though I have uninstalled 10.5 I can still see its folder in the AppData/roaming/steinberg folder, and it seems presets there are not showing in the v13 and v15 folder.
Every Cubase version work independent of each other, but if everything goes smoothly as expected your presets and settings should be imported into the new Cubase version.
Generally speaking, yes. However, there have been some minor changes with regard to file path and format over the past Cubase versions. Updating/migrating to the consecutive version is pretty solid. Skipping versions works with 95% of your presets but you might want to keep a copy of your previous versions.
What kind of presets are you missing?
