Automatic scrolling when making a marquee selection

Hello Community,

does anyones know where i can write feedback to the dorico team? Since the last month I am a heavy user and faced some (little) problems, i am sure they are easy to solve.

currently I’m trying to extend the 8va character, but the image doesn’t move in the continuous view, so i have to zoom out. it would be much easier if the score would move

If i understand correctly, click the start of the 8va section to select it, then Shift-click or Ctrl-click at the end of the desired section, then add the 8va mark to the entire selection.

If you want to extend an existing 8va, you can do that using Alt-Shift-right arrow.

Or, to lengthen an existing 8va, just select it and Shift Alt Right (just like lengthening anything!)

true that works as well thx; it just would feel natural if the score would move, alike you are marking sth in a pdf text for example.

BUT: Selecting for instance is also sth it would be great if the score would move …

like if i want to copy paste a bigger section, and i also want to copy the time change

  1. Dorico does not auto-scroll like software that handles simpler material, such as text. Marquee selection is generally more awkward than click / Shift-click at the edges of the region you want to select. And there are several other more convenient ways of selecting. Here’s a link to the documentation if you haven’t seen it.
  2. To select everything in a passage including system objects, use the system track:
