Automatically show and hide VST instrument plugins ok track select ?

Hi anyone know if there’s a way of when you select a track the VST instrument on that track appears, and when you select another instrument track the previous VST plugin disappears and the new track instrument appears ?

Hi,

Do you mean the GUI of the VSTi plug-in? This is unfortunately not possible.

Hi Martin yes the GUI. That’s a shame it’s a really useful preference setting in Logic Pro. Saves screen clutter from having to open and close VST guis every time you move to a different instrument track and back. It’s almost like a snapshot of each instrument track. Is there anything similar on Cubase or a workaround ?im currently finding that I’m constantly opening and closing VST gui’s ?

I set a key command to open and close the VST. Makes life much easier.

Yep I’ll have to stay doing that. It’s a pity that doesn’t just happen automatically though when you click a new track.

hmm…where is that key command? I can’t find it.

Edit VST Instrument

You need to assign a Key Command for it. I used “v” but any key will do. It’s one of my most-used key commands.
