This seems like something Nuendo can do, I just don’t know how.
Let’s say I have 5 audio events of the same length spread across the timeline. I’d like them to be spaced exactly 4000 ms apart. Is there some automated way to do this?
I looked at the Macro “Move selected events by 1000 bars” which gives me hope this can be automated. But I am not savvy enough yet with Macros to write my own.
If you have really 5 audio events only (not 1000), then I would recommend you to use this Logical Editor (see also attached screenshot): Filter
( Media Type Is | Equal | Audio | And
Property | Property is set | Event is selected )
Action
Position | Add | 0:00:04.000 | Seconds
Function
Transform
Then the steps would be:
Select all 5 Audio Events.
Apply the Logical Editor.
Deselect the 1st event.
Apply the Logical Editor.
Deselect the 2nd event (1st selected, now).
Apply the Logical Editor.
Deselect the 3rd event (1st selected, now).
Apply the Logical Editor.
…
To automate it completely would be little bit tricky. To deselect 1st of selected event is not easy way, same as the count of steps (if it’s variable, so sometimes you have 5 audio events, sometimes, you have 100).
Btw: Completely another approach would be to make your own Quantize Grid (set it to 4sec), and then again, select all 5 audio events, and Nudge Right (the one step is based on the Grid, i.e. one step is 4sec, now). Deselect the 1st selected event, and Nudge Right…
I hope this helps.
Hmm…
I would select a range including the first clip and the space included up to the next insert point ( 4 seconds …)
Could use markers set for this.
Then, repeat X times.
