I tend to think much the way midi is in a block so parts can be duplicated, cut, pasted and so on, there’s no reason why automations can’t be placed in blocks as well.
Suppose I have an automation on a fliter that moves rapidly on a certain part and after the pain of making that happen by adding the points up and down, rather than just copy/paste. Now the block can be duplicated and moved to the point of choice.
Seems like a good idea to me.
