Automation/Envelope in Inspector->Output possible?

Is it possible to set up Automation/Envelope for plugins in the Output as it is in “Clip”?

Clip:

Output:

This is not possible, sorry.

Ok, but it would be nice to have this in WL13.

Usecase: Left and right chanel are treated differently with some envelopes.
When in Output, they should be treated again at once. Say with ping-pong delay with envelope or something like that.

Workaround:
Render the file and than reload it into another audio-montage and than do the envelope.

Year, one can do this, but it would be much easier, when envelope would work in Output.

I am afraid I don’t understand your use case.

2 stereo tracks
First track: route only left channel
Second track: route only right channel
Both tracks are with different plugins/envelopes (so right and left are treated differently)
Track 1

Track 2

As can be seen, both channels are treated differently

Output:
Both channels come together into stereo left/right
Now, use ping-pong delay or other plugins with envelope for the resulting stereo channel

(this is just an example to clarify)

It would be nice, if there would be envelope available in Output.

Actually, I can not see a good reason, why envelope should not be in Output.

This would require the need to have some other kind of envelope, outside of clips, since the output is not attached to any particular clip. Yet, if some clip are moved, the envelope could become out of sync with clips. This system is not as simple and obvious as clip envelopes.

Ok.

… some minutes ago, I thought about the dataflow… yepp, it’s not so easy to implement, I guess.

Some day ago, the question came, if one uses several tracks/clips with lots of plugins, how it is guaranteed, that the data remain exactly in sync during live play. With sync, I mean no timing-glitches of the samples for every channel.
When rendering, ok, this is clear, but in live-playing… I don’t know, don’t have any idea of how this is done. This is amazing.
(great job PG)
