I keep finding that I want automation to follow events when copying parts but not when extending or shrinking a part.
For example if I copy a part with automation and am happy with the automation tail that extends past the part, then want to make the part longer this overwrites the nice tail automation, so I have switch between the two states a lot.
It would be good to have a preference where event changes never alter automation, or have a special paste event that does copy automation even when follow automation is off. In some ways a special paste would better then I would be happy with automation follows events always being off.
