hi Guys. Can anyone help me with this one, have tried Steinberg support 4 times but no reply as yet!
When activating Automation, instead of the line across the centre, the data(midi/audio) is displayed. Surely this is wrong?

Automation in Cubase is shown in a separate automation track and not overlaid on the track.
Right-click the track controls (where you have mute and solo etc, not the inspector) and click “Show used automation”.
Cubase does however have envelopes for audio which might be useful. Click with the pen tool on the track display and it will add points you can adjust to modify the waveform before any processing is done.
Also note track midi or audio data can be shown on the automation lane through Automation Panel>Prefs button>Show Data On Tracks
