Automation Lanes, disable (selection tool) click to input?

I am curious if there is a way to disable my pointer (select) tools from inputing values on automation lanes?

Quite often I will be clicking around a project and accidentally click on an automation lane and add a “dot” or several.

When manually writing in automation values I use the draw/line tool; do user use the selection tool to do this? Not entirely sure why it can add new values.

Anyway, if there is a way disable this I would be very happy if someone could show me how! :smiley:

You should be “safe” so long as you don’t click with the pointer tool directly on an automation curve (or line :slight_smile: ).
