Automation - save visible lanes

I’m still on 13 so sorry if this exists.

So currently for a track I can hide automation, show all automation for that track or add specific automation lanes. I often have tracks with over 10 automation lanes, however I am usually only editing less than 5 of them. To preserve the lanes I am editing I have to keep them open, as they are not remembered in anyway.

The problem is I often need to hide all automation for the project as a whole as I end up with dozens of tracks all with there specified automation lanes open and it makes for a visual mess.

So what I need is a button on a track that will save the current selection of automation lanes, to be the available for recall. Then I can close all automation on the project and easily recall the automation I am editing on a track and not have to remember every lane and recall them one-by-one.

Thanks, this would saved me a lot of time.

Also please let me open the insert from the automation lane, or at least highlight the insert that I am editing.

Hi,
you can work either with the automation panel (F6) or you can save presets and assign key commands.
Cubase 15 comes with new automation improvements that should cover partly what you have been asking for. Have a look at the release notes or download the trial - these improvements are quite handy.

No sorry none of that is close to what I’m explaining. What do you mean by save presets?

Another thing is I want to name the automation lanes rather than using the insert information which is often so long lots look very similar.

While we are at it let’s have a key press that when you click and hold that combination it shows all the used automation for an insert you click on.
