I am trying to understand why the developers of Cubase never implement showing automation on top of the first audio file lane.
Screen space is at a premium. Why, just to work on volume automation does Cubase require double the screen space to do this? I have been asking for this feature for years. Cubase has been my main DAW since 1992 !!!
It just makes sense to allow the automation to be on top of the first lane. I understand that additional automation lanes be under the main lane, but why not allow us to have one automation lane without having to open a lane for it? It doubles the amount of screen space and could be so easily implemented. I own DP, Logic and Studio One. They all allow for this feature.
It just makes sense.
