Hello everyone, I will try to be clear for the translation (thank you).
This important project has a volume automation problem. I explain myself:
on the automation line of a track (any track, all tracks are affected), I click on the line and choose a value (a volume level), at the same time as I move up or down the mouse, I see the volume cursor going up and down,
but the problem is that when I put my automation point at the very top, as if I wanted to set the volume to 0db, my volume slider is at -12db! (all tracks have a low level if automation by point)
Now, if I write the automation during playback using either the volume slider of cubase or the slider of my âX touch oneâ,
the result is that as soon as the volume exceeds (more strongly) -12db, the automation line continues to rise above behind the container!! incredible thing.
All tracks with automations of this project have a line that is hidden behind its own container, because the volume is above -12db!
I am very unhappy and I checked in projects / automation panel I didnât see anything special âŠ
if someone has an idea to return to normal use?
a thousand thanks
A bit hard to follow for my stupid brain.
Pictures?
Also, do you use âtrimâ at all?
Thank you for answering my call. It was not easy to explain what is happening in cubase, so itâs certainly my fault if you did not understand well⊠I will try to take photos for more understanding but just imagine that with your mouse, on your automation track, you decide to focus all the way to the top, but when you look at the cursor it is located at -12db and the sound is weak. I am trying to take the photo for you.
Thank you
ps I donât use âtrimâ
In the first photo, the automation point set to the highest on the line and the slider (the rod) of the track is at -12.4db. it is not a blockage of the rod.
on the photo2, I manually create the automation with the rod and I exceed -12db and the automation line exceeds the field of view of it!!
Welcome to the 4th dimension

Résumé

Ah, instrument tracks. I donât use those.
My only two thoughts were if you had accidentally had âtrimâ on and duplicated tracks which I think can completely screw up automation.
The other thought based on what it looks like in your pictures is if you have VCAs controlling the tracks. The level after offset can sometimes look weird when that happens, if I remember correctly.
But apart from âtrimâ and VCAs I have no idea.
Itâs not serious, but the simple fact that you wanted to help me is already magnificent and I thank you very much.
but you know thanks to you there are now 2 photos so thatâs great!! thank you
Iâm waiting now if someone is going to bite in the hook
see you soon
