Avg. vst performance 80%, peak 5%

HI there,
has anybody the same issue? Cubase is open, no project loaded, avg vst perf. is @ 80%. After loading a project avg. stays the same peak goes up to 5% (depending on project). I don’t sense any performance issues since peak is low but average shouldn’t be higher than peak, but rather the other way around?

Hi there,

My performance with couple of VST instruments and a few effects seems rather high and i get a lot of spikes.

i have got an i7-3740q and that should not happen i guess…i used to use a E6300 dual core few years ago loaded with instruments and it didnt spike at all…

Any ideas?
