Aviom routing from control room

Hi everyone, i was planning a session on a studio that has aviom system for musicians to make their own mixing while recording.

Since i want to use the control control for this, i was planning on having 4 cues ( stereo) with stems from the session that i would be sending for the aviom system.

Is anyone using this setup ?

Should work ok right?

Just a quick update on this.

My recommendations are:

  • Don´t use the Cues for this scenario, Cubase is limited to 4 Cue sends, they are good for headphone mixes ( dedicated talkback and click but only 4 - Dont know why this limitation in 2026 :confused: )

  • Use instead group tracks for the AVIOM outputs ( with dedicated hardware outputs )

  • Create an instrument track for a dedicated click (Groove agent in my case) for the aviom, you keep the internal click for Regie - Control room).

  • Create an Audio track with input monitor always ON for talkback purposes ( choose a microphone with ON OFF switch if possible)

  • All you need to send for the AVIOM system you use the sends on individual tracks.

  • When soloing dont use the SOLO but the LISTEN, this way the audio wont get interrupted for the Groups going to the AVIOM.
