I’ve recently upgraded to Windows 10 which I found worked, but in large projects I had some fairly severe audio dropouts every 10-20 seconds - I suppose to be expected in VST/Effect heavy projects to an extent.
I assumed this was an issue with Windows 10 and being on an old (non wind 10 supported) version of Cubase, so I upgraded. Much to my chagrin this appears to have made the issue considerably worse with dropouts occurring every couple of seconds it is pretty much unusable.
I’ve tried just about every combination of ASIObuffer size, with and without ASIO Guard switched on, but to no avail.
My setup is:
Windows 10
Xeon E3 1270 @ 3.5GHz
16Gb Ram
MOTU 828 MK2
I would love some advice on HOW to track down what is causing the issue. I have never had much faith in MOTU’s drivers - despite their hardware being excellent, so it wouldn’t surprise me if this is what’s causing it.
Any help would be VERY much appreciated, as I currently am sitting with a very expensive, very useless workstation.
