Back to Cubase (9) after a while, Recording Error, Audio Dro

Hey Guys, I’ve been using cubase on and off since the Atari days, but have done no music for a few years.
I have upgraded to Cubase 9 Pro and having a few issues, any help would be amazing as some of it is simps stuff.

  1. Return to Start when I double click the stop button, this used to happen and its only a small thing but a bit annoying
  2. Im recording 1 track of Audi and its glitching and dropping out,(Recording Error, Audio Drop Out) Message
  3. Snap to grid, surely it cant be that hard to do.

Im on a MacBook Pro 13inch (Early 2015) as I weren’t going to buy the new one without any ports
Processor 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
UR824 audio interface

Hi and welcome back

  1. Preferences > Transport > Return to Start Position on Stop.

  2. Increase the Buffer Size of your Audio Device. What Audio Interface do you use?

  3. J Key Command to witch the Snap On or Off. On the right side of the Snap On/Off button, you can see the Snap Type. Here you can set.

Make sure your antivirus is disabled and consider disabling wifi network adapter too - these can cause conflicts resulting in random drop outs as per this thread

welcome back to recording music!!!
