Back up project - Why empty folder?

HI!

Why do the “back up project” function in Cubase require a new empty project folder?
If I have different versions of same project I would like to be able to back upp these versions to same new project folder, which is not possible today.
Why?

So my proposal is to have this as an option or part of preferences.

Agree. Especially since there is no similar restriction when creating new Projects.

I once had backup reject a folder where I’d put a Word doc of lyrics :unamused:
