Backbone Plugin Fails on Apple Silicon Native Version

My setup is a MacBook Air M3 with the latest macOS and the latest Logic Pro — everything is fully up to date.

The only Steinberg plugin I own is Backbone, but the native version does not work and triggers AU warnings.

It runs stably when launched via Rosetta 2.

I contacted Steinberg about this issue in July, but as of August, I have not received any response.

I run BB latest on a M2 in FL with no issues. What happens if you try VST3 version?

Same problem for me. Will not load AU or VST3 in any DAW.

I’ve tried in Logic Pro, Cubase and Maschine.

same issue. I tried studio one (AU)and it worked. But failed in logic. vst3 in dorico works.

Well… I had a decently working 1.6 of BACKBONE ! (well some menus , the fx insert context menus were disappearing , but the plug-in worked , with only some random crash once in a while)

But yesterday i updated the plug-in to 1.6.10 AND NOW it crashes every time both the AU and the VST version.

I tried it both in LOGIC and ABLETON, same result :slightly_frowning_face:

I now consider re-installing the 1.6 version and hoping that works again.

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS ?!?

I’m on a MacBookPro M2 with the lastest version of Ventura 13.7.8
