Still using Cubase LE5 - it’s all I need. I back up my projects using the ArchivePool/Backup method to an external harddrive. Once I’ve done this, if I then simply copy the back up file, will this copy be usable back in Cubase. Thanks.

If your license sits on Soft-eLicenser, your Cubase will work only on this system, as the eLicenser server is down.
I would recommend that you update to the current Cubase LE 15. The update is available for free, and you can ask for it here.
The complete project backup is in the File > Back up Project. But I don’t think this option is available in Cubase LE.
To me, it looks like you have backed up just the Pool.
