I keep on having this issue. I have a wind band score with 40 instruments. I have staves that keep on colliding. I know that I can reduce the note spacing to make everything fir but then things will be too small to where I can’t even read the time signature. I don’t mind if I have less measures on a page. I just want to be able to read my score. What does your vertical spacing settings look like?

Hi! You settings look like the default options (even wider, for staff to staff), and I think they’re on the wide side. You could try to narrow everything down a bit, for instance staff to staff to 5 (I use 4 when it’s really crowded), braced staff to 5,5, groups to staff to 6, and the most important are the last two options, which I set to 1/2 an 1 (instead of 1 and 2). Try that to see if it improves your balances between spacing size and how the music appears on the page.
Condensing - i.e., Oboe 1 and Oboe 2 would be condensed to a single staff in production - would remove at least nine staves vertically. Write mode edits would then be done in Galley view. Short introduction, condensing starts ~1:30:
