I see in the midi mapper there are functions:
Mixer Bank Zone | Next Mixer Bank
Mixer Bank Zone | Previous Mixer Bank
I would like to change the bottom two bank buttons on my X-Touch -labelled Channel (I am using Mackie Control) to 8 channels at a time rather than one.
I have 24 channels of x-touch, so MC banks 24 channels at a time, which is fine, but I would also like an 8/bank function…
These functions seem to be the ones I need, but I cannot get them working.
Can anybody explain the usage of these functions?
Thanks for any assistance!!
Max
Hi Max,
If you are using one MCU main unit + two extenders, you get 24 channels in total. So the bank size is 24.
I’m not aware of any way, how to change the bank size manually with the Mackie Control protocol.
So what is this banking midi control that can be adjusted, Martin?
Is it just if you have a smaller sized mixer on screen, it will move on screen?
Thanks - as I can find no info on it in help…
Hi,
MIDI Remote can set the Banking size.
Hi Martin - I am confused.
Could you define this banking please?
Trying to understand where and when this applies.
Thanks
Max
Hi,
Sorry for the confusion.
Mackie Control Protocol doesn’t allow to set the bank size. So if you use Studio Setup > Add Device > Mackie Control, you cannot select the bank size.
MIDI Remote is internal Cubase protocol, how to communicate with any hardware controller. If you go this way, you (as a creator of the given MIDI Remote device) can set the bank size.
