Bar counting gets confused by measure changes

Dear Support community,

after MIDI Importing a few voices from Logic measure changes seem to cause major problems to the bar counting and the amount of beats a bar should have. I get the following situation:

  1. … 4/4 Bar #100
  2. ¾ Bar #100 (filled with only a two beat rest)
  3. 2/4 Bar #100 (filled with only a one beat rest)
  4. 4/4 Bar #100
  5. Bar #101

then later in the arrangement:

  1. … Bar 132
  2. 4/4 Bar #133
  3. 4/4 Bar #134 (filled with only a two beat rest)
  4. ¾ Bar #134 (filled with only a two beat rest)
  5. 2/4 Bar #134 (filled with only a one beat rest)
  6. 4/4 Bar #134 (filled with only a one beat rest)
  7. 4/4 Bar #134 (filled with a 3-beat rest)
  8. 2/4 Bar #135 (filled with a 4-beat rest)
  9. 4/4 Bar #136
  10. 4/4 Bar #137

A change from 2/4 to 4/4 seems to be working, but as soon as ¾ and 4/4 are mixed it gets messy. It might be checked whether that problem gets fixed when there are notes in the bar. Because later from 137 further on the counting seems to be ok with quarter and halve notes in the bar rather than rests.

Screen shot available on request. Any ideas or similar issues?

Can you create a trivial, short example in Logic with the smallest number of bars required to reproduce the issue, then attach both the Logic file and the MIDI file exported from Logic so we can take a look?

I have sent a reply to Markus Hartmann with attached files from a virgin Logic project. All seems to be counting ok. Problem is not reproduced. An earlier question why there are many MIDI files comes from the fact that I used to work that way, where I exported instrument by instrument and then reimported them into Sibelius. I could have sone that with an XML file but never thought about doing it that way. So maybe you and Markus convene about that?
