In an old paper copy part I need to create a double bar line at the end of bar 102 and follow this with a repeat bar on Bar 103. Dorico elements won’t let me do this. Is there a work-around?
This might work:
Click on the barline at the end of bar 102 (end of the system), open Properties and, in Time Signatures, enable Barline at end of system and choose Double.
Steven, thank you so much, indeed it worked. Appreciated!
Thank you, Steven. I just learned something I have needed.
PS those free-form glisses that you have presumably dragged into position in b82, b84 and from b120: would a wavy lift jazz articulation suffice here?
Lillie, this is a superb tip. I have revisited my part and replaced those shamefu looking glasses with jazz articulations. Thank you for this tip!
Out of interest, how did you end up deciding to use glissando lines? Did you search for a more generic description, and couldn’t find a pointer to jazz articulations? (if so, what phrasing did you use?)
Lillie, two reasons…
My limited knowledge of written music notation and fluency with Dorico.
