Bar Number Guides

Version 5.1.51.2153 (Aug 6 2024)
The attached primitive example screenshot displays samples of Native Dorico Bowing Techniques.
It originally had a Piano accompaniment for sonority contrast.
The piano was removed.
Please observe how the Bar Number Guides are now mis-aligned.
I am unable to correct them.
Nor can I remove them by de-selecting them ( in View | Bar Numbers ).
Being relatively new to Dorico, I suspect that I am missing something.
My only concern is for future compositions should I decide to delete an instrument.
Thank you for your time, and I apologize in advance if my ignorance is on full display.
Dorico is without peer. I continue to be astonished by its quality.
Best Regards.
Gary

I’m afraid I don’t follow you. I see only the System Track (with bar numbers horizontally correctly aligned). Are you intending to show bar numbers that actually appear in the music (and print)?

Gary, if I understand what you’re saying, you’re concerned about the fact that the system track is drawing too close to the system above. If you find this bothersome, you could hide it via View > System Track. (You can still show bar numbers on every bar if you would find that useful via View > Bar Numbers > Page View.)

Alternatively, you could consider increasing the gap between systems on the Vertical Spacing page of Layout Options.

Greetings Mr. Danby.
Thank you for your reply. Sincerely.
It seems I was as clear as mud.
Please see my reply to @dspreadbury.
All the best to you, sir.

Greetings Mr. Spreadbury.

:: Deep Sigh:: Yes.

One of these days I will learn to accurately describe my quandary.
Both recommendations of yours are quite sufficient.
Thank you for your patience, as well as your interpretive skill.

All the best to you,

Gary.

I understand, @Gary_Andrews, believe me! Two years in and I’m still tripping over my own lapses in memory and grasp of Dorico terminology and UI elements when trying to frame things for myself and as questions posed to others here on the forum.

I’m glad I had just enough of it available to offer something of value, and that you reached out to the forum where @dspreadbury could share his wisdom.

All the best,

Judd
