Bar Offset in Cubase Score

Hi!

I have a piece which starts at bar 2 as I need negative track delay to get the library sounding proper when putting the notes on the grid. However, I want the score to start at bar 1, and not at bar 2. Is there a way to change this? I’ve tried the time offset in the Project Settings, but that does not work, and I cannot find a proper setting under the Bar Numbers tab in the Layout Settings which is where I would think such a setting would live.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Hi,

You can offset the Bars also in the Project Setup window.

Offsetting the bar in the Project Setup window (Time Offset) does not really solve the problem, as it only changes the number of the first bar (from 1 to 0). I want the entire bar to be “cut” visually, so that the score starts one bar earlier.

Hi,

Put your MIDI Part to Number 1. Set Time Offset (Bars+Beats) to 2.

Thank you! I set the MIDI to bar 2 and the offset to -1, which was obviously the wrong direction.
