Hi, I’m not sure if I missed something, but I don’t remember having this problem in the past. 
In the parts, a lot of notes are covered by the “bar selector” area of the staff below. See the example below: when I try to select the note in bar 14, the bar 25 gets selected instead due to the overlapping area (encircled).
Is it possible to get rid of this bar selectors above the staff in the parts?

It is called the system track. You can go to view - system track to hide it

ALT/OPT + T will toggle it on and off.
