Bari sax won't play in 2nd mvt

I have a four movement sonata for sax and piano. Mvts 1, 2, & 4 are alto sax and play fine.

2nd mvt (flow #2) in played on a bari sax and the bari sax won’t play (Dorico Pro 5.1.7)

When movements are separate, i.e., each flow is a separate document, the bari sax plays fine.

I just re-applied the playback template, and now the bari plays ok.
(I tried with a couple of playback templates and both were ok. I only have the VSTs that come with Dorico Pro.)
