Is there a way to break barlines between the staves of a grand staff?
Yes, but if the reason you want to do that is because you’re using a piano for a choral reduction, it’s worth knowing there’s a dedicated instrument for that that doesn’t have barlines joining the staves by default for the precise reason that they collide with lyrics.
