Hi, as a Finale orphan, I really miss the shortcut CTRL + M to set an specific numbers of bars per system throughout the entire score or selected parts.
I found this really hard to do on Dorico.
Any tips on that?

There’s a Layout Option for setting the number of bars per system, under Staves and Systems > Casting Off.
However, it’s a rare piece of music whose bars are entirely even; and letting Dorico space it out might produce a better result. You can adjust the Note Spacing “Default Space” value (again, in Layout Options > Note Spacing) to tighten up the layout, or loosen it out. (A bit like Finale’s “Reference width” in the Spacing options.)
Thank you. I’ve found that already. It’s common in lead sheets to have a more even layout. I usually start with a even number, 4 or 6 and adjust as needed. For that, the CTRL +M option is way more handy. I really don’t like to use the System Break function.
I think that a shortcut for that would be very useful and easily done for the developers in a future update.
You don’t need to use the System break function (until you need it..), instead follow @benwiggy’s path of setting your 4 or 6 bars in Layout Options (because it is layout specific):
