Basic question about bit depth

If I record a track in one project at say, 24 bit then copy that track over to a project using 32 bit float are there any issues with this soundwise?

No, if you import any file with a bit depth equal or lower than your project, then the file will be completely unchanged. (if you convert the file to 32 bit float it will only become bigger with no quality gain)

Thanks mate. So I couldn’t lose any quality by conversion just not gain any quality?

Yes, no quality loss in both cases.
