Basic recording problem

I’m new in Cubase, please help.
While i’m recording on specified track, then i click on another track, my recording changed to that current track.
This is so annoying.
Can anybody tell me how to disable it?

The solution is in Preferences, look around. Your solution is to check a default box that says something like: ‘Turn record on for selected track’. Find it, turn it off and you’re then able to select what channels you want to arm for recording.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Project & Mix Console > Untick Enable Record on Selected MIDI Track
