Bass guitar notation problem

When I notate a bass guitar part it sounds a octave to low. Playback will effect an octave higher. When I notate the sounding part sometimes I don’t hear the input note (Dorico thinks it is not a part of the bass guitar).

Is this problem resolved or what can I do to resolve that (without octavating etc).

You can use an expression map to transpose the playback upwards by an octave: use the ‘Transpose up 1 octave’ expression map for the channel with the bass sound in the Endpoint Setup dialog (the cog button in the VST Instruments panel).
