Bass Player Play Back Suddenly No Sound

I’m about a month into Dorico and working on a personalized Big Band (Garritan) template.

Only 4 bars of music for drums, guitar and bass to mess around with sound, balance, swing feel etc.

Everything was playing back beautifully all morning. I did some solo/mute changing on the bass part and suddenly there is no play-back sound. I mean dead, even inside the Aria Player playing the built-in keyboard no sound. As if there is a hidden mute button somewhere.

I tried shutting Dorico down and starting up again

All other tracks play back as before. It’s got me stumped.

This has been solved by adding a new bass player, copying across the music from the “silent” one and then deleting the old player. I think I know what caused the loss of sound, lesson learnt.

Hi @George_Brodbeck , just to mention it, an easier way of fixing your issue would have been reapplying the playback template. For that you go to the Play mode and from the menu choose Play > Playback Template…
