Batch Processor - Apply Envelope

Hi folks. Often when I print stems I need to apply the same Envelope settings (Process → Envelope) in order to change the gain on the same sections of all the stems.

I don’t see a way to do this in the Batch Processor - I do see options like fade in/out, but the Envelope settings don’t seem to be available. Any thoughts? Perhaps this is by design.

Cheers

There is no way to do what you are looking for with the batch processor.
However, since the envelope tool can be left opened, it is easy to process the desired files one by one.
As an alternative, you could place your files on X audio montage tracks, then set the envelope for the 1st clip, then copy the envelopes to each other clip (1 by 1), then use the render function to produce as many audio files.

This is true, and is the method I have been using. Fair enough - thanks Philippe

Note that there is even a faster method, if you need it: save the envelope as a preset, and assign a shortcut to it. Then, even with the Envelope window closed, you can apply the envelope on the active audio file, with just one shortcut.

I noticed that - however I’m finding that for the time it takes to assign a shortcut, I can press the “apply” button on the Envelope window 8-10 times and be done

My main goal with the batch processor was to see if I could do it all offline without having to load the files, and chain multiple batches based on Envelope preset. But once the files are loaded, it’s a simple matter of just leaving the Envelope window open. By the way THANK YOU for allowing processing windows to stay open even after they are applied - so few editors do this.

Since WaveLab 1.0 I think
