Beam angle tool - and real beams (contemporary music)

Hello everyone,

I’m deeply impressed by the possibilities and ergonomy of Dorico 2. However I found difficult to edit angle of beams to create - you know - those rhythmic figures, eg. at the beginning there are eights but at the end of above mentioned figures sixteenths, they all have one beam and yet another expanding… It is achievable somehow in Dorico? Please, give me a clue.

All the best,

You can control-click on a beam and then select Beaming → Create Fanned Beam. Is that what you’re looking for?

OMG , yes. It is great. Thanks a lot!

Stephen: this is a trifle, but do you need Ctrl with the click? I don’t see a difference if I click without Ctrl.

Dear Dan,
Ctrl-click is the “normal” way to access context menu on Mac, when you only have one button on your mouse.

Thanks Marc - I should have said, control-click (Mac) or right-click (Windows). It is a right-click, correct?

Ah, makes sense. Sorry, I’m completely ignorant about Mac OS!
