I have a question about notation in a 4/4 time signature.

I want this rhythm to be clearly readable for the performer. Dorico automatically turns it into a rhythm that I find unclear. Using a slur (S) I can achieve the desired rhythm, but with a tie (T) I can’t. Does anyone know where I can adjust this setting?

I can’t find the right setting in Notation options..

If this is a one-off, best to use force duration:
Select the note 4 O R reselect first note, T

If you always want this, Notation options>Note Grouping>Syncopation
