Hello All, new to the Forum and a recent Finale-to-Dorico transplant. (Running Dorico 5.1 on Mac OS 15.7.) Thanks in advance for the advice.
In Notation Options, I’ve selected “Allow rests within beams and at start and end of beams”, but occasionally I want not to do this. I can manually break beams where I need to, except where I have two voices in rhythmic unison. In bar 56 below I can only un-beam the rest in up-stem voice 1 but not in down-stem voice 1. I’m inferring that this is because the down-stem rest has been eliminated or hidden so only the up-stem rest is showing. I want the down-stem 8th note to have a flag like the up-stem 8th note. What bit of knowledge am I missing?
