Is there a way to achieve this beamed tremolo natively, that is, without a workaround? I know of the half-note setting In Engraving Options → Tremolos, but that does not apply here, as this is less than a minim. That the un-beamed option is still correct is immaterial, as this needs to be done to emulate the original score.
I guess it depends on what you consider natively vs. a workaround. I don’t think there’s a setting that will get you what you want, but here’s one way to do it.
First bar: Start a 1:2x tuplet and enter two sixteenths.
Second bar: Hide the tuplet number
Third bar: Add the 32 tremolo

Once you’ve entered one of these, you can copy/paste or Alt/Opt+click to other locations and repitch. Maybe someone else knows a cleaner method.
