There is a Notation Option to allow eighth notes to beam across beat boundaries, but not one to do the same for sixteenth notes. The first bar below is as shown by Dorico, which in this context is fussy; the second is as I want it to show.
I have a keyboard short cut to beam a bar at a time, but there are a lot of bars like this.

A workaround for this one is to enter the time signature as [3]/8 in the popover.

Another way is to select all the notes in that bar and do Edit > Notations > Beaming > Beam Together (or select all the notes then right-click and choose Beaming > Beam Together). I have set up a key command for Beam Together so the process for me is one click and one keypress.
