Hello,
I’m currently testing VST Live 2 Pro and would like to use it as a plugin host for playing guitar with lots of effects.
I used a stack for this and loaded 4 different effect plugins (e.g. EQ, compressor, delay, reverb, tremolo, etc.), which works fine. Unfortunately, a stack only has 4 insert slots. Is there a way to use more than 4 effect plugins? What’s the easiest way to do this?
Regards,
Chris
Download v2.1.18
Sorry, but in a stack in the VST Live Pro v2.1.18 version, I see also only 4 insert slots.
As said, I’m an absolute beginner of VST Live 2 Pro. So maybe the solution might be quite simple, but I just don’t know how it works.
Oh! Yes, forgot to mention…
Go to MIXER-VIEW and look for channels, there is an “e” to extend/expose channel inserts and sends slots
You can insert 8pcs sends and
8pcs inserts
Additionally there are the 4 insert slots within STACK-container (+sendFX slots)
That is max of 12 inserts (that will probably enough), but if not, you can route it forward to a GROUP track to insert +8 inserts.
Off
At this point prepare your pan, toast bread and eggs on your computer to make your breakfast
On
Now I see. In the mixer view there are up to 8 insert slots.
So what is the minimal setup for my use case, playing guitar with many effect plugins as possible. Is it:
Using one stack and select the correct input of the audio interface and insert up to 4 effect plugins in the insert slots. And then going to the mixer view and insert effect plugins into the 8 available insert slots and additional up to 8? effect plugins in the send slots? Which adds up to 4+8+8 possible effect plugins?
P.S.: I just saw your whole answer. This are more possible chained effect plugins I will need. Thank you very much for your help!
