My new Behringer Grind hardware analogue synth/sequencer is proving hard to interface with Cubase Elements 12 under Windows 10 using a USB port. Notes played on it from other keyboards have a high latency around 300 ms, and when MIDI Thru is active (which I need in order to play VST plugin synths) the Grind’s notes repeat back.
Can anyone suggest solutions?

I would recommend to don’t use it as a (Master) keyboard, if the is no Local Control Off. Otherwise you already get the sound from the synth while playing the keyboard.
Hi Martin, thanks for that suggestion. I’ve now tried disconnecting the USB and connecting the Grind via MIDI from my audio interface. That solves both problems - no repeats, instant response - but at the expense of being able to use the Grind’s app which includes the sequencer. I’m trying to get advice from other users but Behringer’s community forum seems to not be working properly. If this doesn’t improve the shop can take it back, this isn’t good enough.
