Being able to change opacity in Sample Editor

Hi all,

It will be really amazing to be able to change the opacity of the ‘active’ event in the sample editor. I am currently running the latest updated CB14

My challenge is this:

Scenario

2 tracks: Lead mic & Choir mic.

I want to time align the Choir mic referencing the Lead Mic.

I double click on both events to open the sample editor (Both of the events are different colours)

The active event, being the choir mic, has too solid of a colour so I cannot see the ‘lead mic’ behind it. I do not want to drastically increase the gain of the lead mic just so the image of the waveform is larger and decrease the gain of the choir mic. Although this may be a workaround there are small nuances in the waveform that you need to see which you won’t when the Choir mic’s opacity is 100%.

I have tried swapping between different colours but the same result.
I have tried the order of the tracks in the project. Same result.

I really hope I am making sense with this…

Hi,

I fully agree with you. I always fiddle around with the colors to distinguish one from the other. I choose Yellow and Green to see it better. Your request is a valid one. Another addition could be to see seperate lanes for the events stacked on top of each other or something like that. Anyway… I voted for this one.

Having them stacked would also be quite nice - similar to what Waves Sync or many other alignment tools offer.
