In C13 in the drum editor there was an icon like a little house. Clicked or otherwise, it show either all the drums possible or just the ones used in the project. Now in the C15 editor, it only shows those used, while in the drum map, it may not even show all of those used.
So here is a segment played on electronic drums in real time. If I decided I wanted to move the snare to a rim, or step enter something else that isn’t there, how would that be done? What was the benefit of removing the user’s control?
Hi,
Right-click on the toolbar and enable the Pitch Visibility:
Then you can switch:

Thanks! I am so glad to know that. Is there something similar for the drum map?
After spending over 2 hours trying to replicate the correct scoring of C13 in C15, yesterday, I am spending a couple more to demonstrate the types of recurring problems I have. I wanted to take a snip of the screen but then the drum map disappears. I then looked up print screen and tried every suggested method and never got that screen, so I took a cell phone shot and then put the relevant things together in photoshop.
In the the 1st 2 measures these are the problems I haven’t been able to correct:
A#2 is snare rim. I have selected downward triangle, but it has x. I have to use clave in the right name as I didn’t see rim or stickshot as are commonly used.
D#3 is left or lower kick drum. I have assigned to d3, but it is on E3
C#3 is snare and I have point up, but they are down, making interpretation worse.
C1 is open high hat and should be circle x, but is just x, like the closed hh.
B-2 is the crash and not in these measures, but further on, and it is also supposed to be in a circle x, but is just plain x. It doesn’t even show in the drum map when truncated.
Great if someone finds I have errors to correct score.
Hi,
No. All MIDI Notes are always visible in the Drum Maps. Maybe only if you edit the XML file manually.
Actually, as in the picture above, most of the time in the drum map, I only see what is used and sometimes, also as then missing some that are used. I usually click on another drum map to find a desired pitch and then when I go back to the map I am using, it then shows all the notes, but if I update a position or head, then it usually reverts to the truncated version. This complication often adds to the time working on correcting the desired map, when I forget in finding the right note, that I haven’t returned to the correct one.
Hi,
Did you create the map from a plug-in? If yes, then this is possible.
I originally played on the roland TD20 and then was remapping it to the TD50x. No plug-in.
Hi,
How did you create this specific Drum Map?
I got all the drums and cymbals that were recorded on the earlier set to play the right sounds on the TD50x. A couple of things might have shown on the right space on the score. Usually hardly any and wrong heads. I click on an item in the score and it lights up in the drum editor. I read its pitch and go to it in the drum map. Sometimes it has the right sound, but is in the wrong position or head. I correct. If I am lucky the note moves to the right position with correct head. Often in the truncated drum map view, I have to open another drum map to see all pitches and find the note. If I click on it and go back to the desired map, I get the full pitches, but as soon as I make a change, it usually shrinks again and that pitch, though corrected doesn’t show.
