Best method for combining notes from multiple staves into one without redundant notes

I’m trying to streamline my method for importing MIDI into Dorico. Often times, there’s multiple MIDI tracks for a given instrument and after I’ve imported it into Dorico, I want to create a reduction of what’s there on the minimal number of staves. Does anyone have a good method for this? Here’s what I’ve tried, and the results of each:

Here’s two staves that I want to combine into one:

If I do Edit-Cut on the bottom staff and then Edit-Paste Special-Reduce into the top staff, it ends up like this:

If I try Edit-Paste Special-Move to Staff Above, the results are the same:

According to the manual, the Reduce feature is supposed to remove extra unisons, but it doesn’t seem to do that for me. If there was a filter for selecting unisons so I could delete them, that could solve the issue, but I don’t see anyway to do that either. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to do this efficiently? Thanks.

Hi @Michael_J_Lloyd, the Reduce command will get rid of the unisons only if you select both staves, do cut, then select the bottom staff and there you do Reduce (so Dorico will combine the material and will take care of the unisons):
