Best way of having Cubase content in a different location .. Library manager or ...?

Hi there,
Just setting up a new DAW computer and have for the first time kept Cubase on the OS disk. However, I want the content to be on another disk.

Is there a way to set up preferences, options in Cubase or elsewhere so that I can download/send content files to a given location, or do i have to install first to the C drive and then move them in Library Manager?
I’d prefer the former, if possible.

Thanks!

I don’t know about the former, but I can tell you that using Library Manager to move content around works well and reliably - I just moved a ton of content around due to upgrading my storage subsystem, and it all worked flawlessly.

It’s as simple as copying the directories to your preferred location on the new machine, and double-clicking any content file at the top level of the folders.

Hi,

Open Steinberg Library Manager, find the library and click the Move button.

Thanks Timo00, good to know.

Thanks Steve! Tried it and it works - much easier and I can just copy everything across too.
