Hi,
I’m looking for a way to create a batch process which would clear or modify metadata in different files (wav and MP3) without touching or encoding audio. I’ve been able to do it manually but I don’t quite find the way to do it in the batch processor, especially with MP3. Anyone might have suggestion for this please? thank you for your time.
Cheers
Vincent
With wave files, it’s easy. But WaveLab has no solution for what you want for mp3 files.
If you are on macOS try this…

The uncompressed format (WAV/PCM) is adopted without changing the audio data, only the meta data is removed using the setting Meta-Data: Do Not Save Anything. Compressed formats (like MP3) however, are always re-encoded by WaveLab.
Thank you Philippe, I was thinking I missed something because when I remove metadata manually from a MP3 file, I can just save the files and I get a prompt saying that no re-encoding will take place, I was hoping to find this usable in the batch convertor…could this be imagined in the future?
Thanks, I tried it, really efficient, I think I will use it for now…
OK, yeah, thank you for your reply…MP3 is not that simple to manipulate finally…the app mentioned above meets my needs for now…
