What would be the best and most correct procedure to convert stereo files to mono whilst maintaining the exact loudness of the stereo file in the mono files in wavelab?
There is a perfect solution for this, and I believe WaveLab is the only software that can do that 
Use the following plugins in the batch processor. Check the manual for the details.
